Our methodology
Business language, Speaking-focus, Minimal grammar, Variety of tasks, Playfulness and games, Visuals- Teaching language of the workplace, business focus.
- Close to 100% target language communication, Hungarian words only when necessary.
- Speaking-focus. As many participant responses, speaking practice, pair work and situations as possible (teacher’s speaking time as little as possible, max. 20% of the lesson).
- Practical use of phrases, idioms and expressions.
- Minimal grammar, with a supporting role only.
- Correction of grammatical mistakes and pronunciation just in case they hinder understanding.
- Including and alternating 5-6 task types in 90 minutes. Including games.
- Use of visual aids (pictures, internet, videos, etc.), colourful, illustrative tasks.
Characteristics of the lesson
Warm-up exercises, Revision, New material, Communicative exercises, Summary- Motivation: a warm-up exercise, which is playful and also connected to the topic of the lesson.
- Previous knowledge: A short revision from the previous lesson with communicative exercises.
- Acquisition of new knowledge based on the syllabus: goal setting, raising problems in English, learning and practicing expressions in pairs/groups, facilitating independent use of language.
- Checking and feedback: after processing new knowledge, partial checking of coherent thought processes, e.g. through role-play, situations and arguing exercises.
- Lots of pair work (e.g. debate and discussion, asking for and providing information, reaching consensus)
- Summary: Cool-down playful exercise linked to the topic of the lesson.

Assessment
End-of-Module exam, End-of-Level exam, Evaluation- Written end-of-module exam: grammar test, writing, reading and listening comprehension tests based on the course material that you have covered.
- Verbal end-of-module exam: informal discussion, independent speaking about a given business topic, role-play exercises.
- Final exam to check progress or achievement of a communication objective.
- Completion and submission of attendance sheet, progress diary and satisfaction survey.
- At the end of the module, personal feedback to the participants on their performance (what improvements have been made, what areas need more attention in the future).
